MONTEREY, Calif. (October 17, 2011) – The second stop in the Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC) Fall Series Tournaments, presented by Capital Insurance Group (CIG), was played at Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park, California.
The Boys’ Championship Flight was captured by Cody Blick of Danville who carded an outstanding 5-under 138 for the two-round event. Justin Pagila of Dublin was second while Connor Blick of Danville, Corey Eddings of Roseville, Kit Carson of Galt, and Ryan Han of Hollister tied for third.
Marissa Hinchman of Lodi grabbed the Girls’ Championship Flight by four strokes over Coby Kooyman of Lodi, who earned runner-up honors over Layne Silva of Stockton.
The Boys’ First Flight was decidedly won by Max Ringrose of Sebastapol who carded a two par 146 and a 12 stroke victory over second place finisher Thomas Huddleston of Vacaville. Ryan Garfield of Petaluma and Alexander Nethercutt of San Rafael tied for third.
In the Girls First Flight Yealini Noh of Pleasant Hill and Angela Liu of San Jose tied for the top spot after regulation but it was Yealini who earned the title in a playoff. Haily Beger-Hellings of Santa Rosa and Aileen Jeong of Dublin tied for third.
The shot of the event came from Christopher Larsen who made a hole-in-one on hole 5 at Foxtail’s South course in the first round.
The Junior Tour next heads to Greenhorn Creek October 8-9.
The season ends with the Tour Champion Tournament October 29-30 at Stevinson Ranch, in Stevinson, California. In all, the Junior Tour of Northern California has hosted their 2011 Tournaments in seventeen different Northern California cities.
