CIG Safety & Security Team Helps Attendees Protect Cherished Property

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Spring is a time to start fresh, and each year thousands of Californians flock to the annual Bakersfield Home and Garden Show (February 19-21) for new, imaginative ways to remodel their homes and beautify their property.

Now in the event’s 24th year, attendees have come to expect exquisite landscape and garden displays, breathtaking kitchen and bath interior design, informative seminars and exciting prizes from the largest home and garden show in the state. This year, visitors to the Kern County Fairgrounds enjoyed the added benefit of a booth dedicated to helping them understand how their love of their homes and gardens translates into insurance needs. CIG Insurance Center of Kern County, operated by Eagle West Premier Insurance Agency of Bakersfield, was on hand to field safety and security questions, educate homeowners on shopping for the right insurance for their needs and offer tips on getting the most coverage protection for their money.

Discussions ranged from available savings with discounts for bundling home and auto policy coverage to rebuilding your home after a disaster to identity protection and cyber security. The CIG safety and security team was ready for any questions. Other topics touched upon included hobby farms, vineyard & winery insurance and dwelling fire coverage. Anything related to personal and property protections and safety was fair game during the three-day show.

Interested visitors had the opportunity to learn about the benefits and savings available to them with CIG coverage — and even get a free on-the-spot quote provided by agents in the booth. With their quote, participants received a complimentary auto accident camera kit.

Every person who stopped by the booth got a recyclable tote bag, a “Does Your Insurance Measure Up?” tape measure and had the opportunity to enter a daily drawing for an Earthquake Survival Kit. Those who chose to fill out a safety survey also got the chance to win the Grand Prize raffle. The winner, The Blakely family, beat out 400 other entrants to take home a 32-inch flat-screen television.

The booth was co-sponsored by The Protector Network, a first-of-its-kind safety, security and savings benefit program. All CIG clients receive a complimentary membership in The Protector Network, along with access to an array of safety articles, tools and savings worth hundreds of dollars.
