Founded in 1898, the Capital Insurance Group® (CIG) has accumulated exceptional risk management knowledge and experience, allowing us to effectively satisfy the insurance exposures of our policy clients. From the very beginning, CIG has thrived on meeting and exceeding our clients’ needs.
Today, CIG is composed of company affiliates that underwrite the risks and issue the policies. They include California Capital, Eagle West, Nevada Capital and Monterey Insurance Companies. These companies have managed to stand the test of time and form CIG’s solid financial foundation.
The largest of the group is California Capital Insurance Company, which was incorporated in 1898 as a county mutual company named Ventura County Mutual Fire Insurance. The original company merged with other companies over the years evolving into California Capital Insurance Company in 1987. Currently, it offers comprehensive property and casualty insurance to personal and business clients.
Eagle West Insurance Company, another CIG underwriter affiliate, began as Stanislaus County Mutual Fire Insurance Company in 1906. Today, it focuses on providing full-coverage automobile in addition to homeowners and small commercial risk coverages.
Building strong customer relationships doesn’t happen overnight. For more than 112 years, CIG has been dedicated to the pursuit of customer satisfaction. The relationships we have established with our clients over the years allow us the opportunity to build lifelong partnerships and provide services our clients have come to count on.
